Why Fall Season Is The Best Beach Season

It may be too cold for swimming, but that doesn’t mean that you have to leave the beach behind until summer comes. You can still have the best experience at the beach during the fall season. For starters, beach games don’t have to be dehydrating and tiring because Mr. Sun is hiding. It’s a low risk of getting sunburned and doing tippy toes on the burning sand. Speaking of sand, sandcastle making is going to be more fun and fewer crowds mean more space to work on your masterpieces You can have a cozy bonfire and smores almost all the time since it’s going to be a cold night and day.

Beach running is, according to many, the best kind of running out there. The feeling of sand under your feet and the sound of the surf crashing beside you are so incredibly invigorating that you’ll probably find yourself leaving your headphones at home. Fall is the perfect time to run on the beach because you avoid the intense heat and harsh sun that usually come with the summer months. Don’t forget to hydrate, though. Just because you don’t feel as hot doesn’t mean you don’t need water. Enjoying a beach picnic in autumn is a lot easier than doing the same thing in the summer. Cooler temperatures mean less concern about packing perishables and since you’re less likely to be spending the entire day on the beach, you have the luxury of carrying a little more weight in your basket. Some ideal fall beach picnic fare includes hearty sandwiches, harvest fruit and vegetables, pie, apple cider, and the fixings for some top-notch s’ mores.

Nothing is worse than picturing a pristine white-sand beach and rolling up to see a littered landfill of bud light bottles, cigarettes, and plastic bags scattered about. On the plus side, with fewer crowds comes less garbage, so in the fall, that dreamy strand will be immaculate. Parking spots are also a score!
